Superstar Ceramic Hair Straighteners

I absolutely LOVE my superstar--I bought it about 8 years ago, but now it is having troubles keeping the high temp and straightening now--its time to put it down and get a new one... It is by far the best one out there, and if you know Iowa weather, you would understand! Can't wait to get my new one!!

I've had my superstar straightener for 9 long years!!! For the last 2 years or so I've had problem with the cord and losing power but I always managed to wrap the cord around something that keeps it turned on, but now nothing works! :-( It won't even turn on anymore, I've tried replacing it in the past but nothing compared, this was by far the best straightener I've ever owned.... RIP super*.

Obviously, the 2 year's service my superstar has done to me is not the longest one here, but my superstar keeps going. It's the superman when hearing my friends' complaint about their hair straighteners striking or searing the hair, my superstar hair straightener has never done that to me. I just enjoy the beautiful straight hair it always creates for me.

Ive had Super Star for about 5 years and never had any problems with it.. but it finally crapped out on me this weekend.. we had to wiggle the wire around for it to come on but now its not coming on at all!! =( Looks like I have to get another one but it will def be a super star!! I loved it!!

I have had the same superstar for 5 years! it has worked great ever since the day i bought it, but now i think its time to replace it .

I bought this "used" from a salon almost 5 years ago (for $45!!). It has worked awesome since I've had it, but now I think it's time to replace it. I am starting to have the "shorting" issues that others have experienced and I'm wondering if this can be fixed by replacing the cord? Otherwise, I'll be getting a new one and it will definitely be another Superstar. I think 5 years is a long time for it to last, especially when used EVERY day. I would recommend this awesome straightener to anyone!

The same thing happened to mine and my daughter's as it did to Nikki from NJ: it was dropped and one of the flat pads came off and won't pop back in. What is the name of the company that makes these and where can these be repaired? It was great until then!

I have had 2 of these. The first one, I used for about 6 months and the wire messed up and it would not stay connected to the electricity so I brought it back. I used the second one for about 2 years and now it is doing the same. I am thinking of buying a Sedu now.

This superstar straightener has served for me more than 14 months, it's the longest lifespan I have ever met, it seems as if the lifespan was related with it's price, cuz this superstar is the most expensive one I have bought. do you agree?
