Remington S8200 Wet2Straight Wide Hair Straightener

I previously had a remington hair straightener but the teflon coating began to chip off. The next time i got this wet2dry (because i have alot of hair and dont have the patience to wait for it to dry) and i had the same problem a few months in and now half of the teflon coating is not longer there! When i got this, i didn't concidr that the shape is not capable of styling your hair. My hair often gets caught on the plates, causing it to snap.. My hair hasn't grown the slightest bit since i've been using this (for about 3 years) but to be fair i foolishly don't use any heat protecting products... I feel unhygenic when i use it because after using this a few times, orange gunk gathers around the edges. the smell is very strong and i always have to open the windows and close my door so my family members arent complaning. You have to be careful that the vents which the steam comes out, don't face your face nor cover your hands over them cause you can get a burn, and my last con is it creaks as you open and shut which gets on your nerves quite easily.
On the good side, i have only once had a visible and painful burn which is amazing since i'm a megga klutz, the width makes it officient with time, and it hasn't stoped functioning after many years.

My Remington worked really well and quick on my curly, course hair - but then it broke after 6 months and the remington agents refused to fix it claiming that I had cut the cord AND dropped it. I had done neither!

These hair straighteners are easy to use and save lots of time when doing your hair. They do not dry hair out or ruin it's condition. A great product!
