Amazing

This straightener is incredible. I have the large one, and the skinny one. And at this price, you can actually afford both. I use the skinny one on my bangs and cowlicks. The large one is awesome when you're in a hurry. I've had mine for about 3 years now with no problems at all. I also own a Chi, Chi Turbo, and a Wigo, and nothing works better than my Hot Tools.
And an awesome tip with any straightener: Use aerosal hairspray to LIGHTLY spray each section before you straighten it to get the hold that you want. When you're done, you are left with silky smooth hair that holds, without sticky hairspray
good value for the price, but there's better

I bought this iron when I was in high school, graduated from college last year and it STILL works. I can't even count how many times I've dropped it on the floor and it still keeps going. That being said, it does a pretty good job of straightening, but not nearly as good as a smaller iron (like a CHI or HAI, both of which I've used and have seen a significant difference in straightening vs. the Hot Tools straightener.)
If you're looking for a budget-friendly flat iron that does a fairly good job straightening, this is a good bet.
Don't Like It

It breaks quickly, and makes your hair all poofy. It doesn't straighten well and smells the worst out of all the straighteners I have ever used.
it's just ok.

i found this straightner worked poorly on my very curly hair--ringlets like shirly temple..even when using proper steps to get the best look, like using hair serum and what not..my hair would curl back within twenty minutes.
i would reccommend this straightner to those who have wavy or less curly hair.
Also, my friend, who it worked fabulously on, said she needs a new one b/c it broke within a year...it doesn't perform as well anymore.
This straightener was great, but may break!!

This hot tools hair straightener is great but it has some cons. i purchased my hot tools straightner 2 years ago and it worked great until a month ago when it broke. Though when it isnt broken,it works wonderfully!
Its fabulous!!!

Hot Tools Professional Hair Straightener

I read some reviews and let me just say.... to those who say it splits the hair and causes it to frizz ,that's only because there are other steps you have to take in using a hot Iron on your delicate hair". To "prevent" this particular Iron from ruining your hair, you must use a Serum through your hair, section by section, to help not only oil the hot plates for smoother glide, but also to add extra oil to the hair shaft and prevent "frizzies, or splits". So, enjoy the hot tools professional hair straightener! And never mind what others may say from using it incorrectly. Thanks
Thank you

I have very curly, curly hair and I have bought several hair straightener and none of them had work for me. But I tried this one and it left my hair silky and soft. It looks great! My boyfriend fell in love with me all over again, if you know what I mean. Thank-you so much.
OH GREAT!

This hair straightener is absolutely marvelous, this hair straightener works on every type of hair, and I work on a lot of people. This iron takes any type of frizzy curly hair and makes it smooth, silky, straight, and shiny. And the price is unbelievable, a lot of the more expensive irons cost two or three times as much and don't even work as good. This is the last hair straightener you'll ever need to buy.
