T3 Pink Mini Hair Straightener Gift Set

I think it's a really cute straightner, but the color started peeling off and it doesn't straighten my hair as well as my older one. I had to get this one because my old one wouldn't stay on, but I honestly hate this straightner. It would be worth $50-$80 dollars CAD, but I wouldn't spend more than that. Mine was $191.95, definately not worth it.

This straightener is only ok for the cost. I admit I was drawn in by the hot pink color. The plates are nice and my hair slides through easily. But my wavy hair didn't straighten as well as it did with less expensive drugstore types with steam or wet-to-straight functions. Two disappointing things are there is no auto shut-off feature, so you definitely cannot forget to turn it off before leaving the house. And the striaghtener does not sit upright on the counter. There is a bump on both sides of the straightener that cause the straightener to tip over on its side. Combine this with the lack of auto shut-off, and you can have a fire hazard if you forget to turn it off. I think this is strange considering this model costs so much. I accidentally left it on once, and there are now permanent burn marks on my sink from the plates. Unreleated, but I had to throw the straightener away after traveling to Europe. I tried using a converter plug and the iron immediately shorted out when I plugged it into the wall. Using a voltage converter probably would have prevented this. But it gives me an excuse to buy a different straightener.
