The "ceramic" plates are METAL plates! Metal plates with a thin ceramic plate covering. Stop wasting ur money & by AMIKA!

after the burnt damage from Conair, FHI and GHD hair straighteners, i almost gave up using hair straightener on my hair, until one day my stylist recommended ceramic plated hair straightener to me, this turbo chi works great and becomes my favorite. girls, do not buy any product with metal plates!!!

Many of my friends once had their hair burnt by their hair straighteners, but it has never happened to me, my CHI turbo hair straightener really does a good job, so proud of it!
Turbo CHI, GOOD!

I love this Turbo CHI more than Original CHI, it performs better on my long coarse hair, very straight and very silky. It's absolutely a good tool!
Stopped Turning On :(

My Chi doesn't stay on by its own anymore. I have to hold the cord a certain way now when I flat iron my hair and I have only had it for 2 years. Also, my hair never stays straight for long periods if it's humid weather or if i get hot at a party. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have finer hair and you are okay with it only working for a few years.
Cord ALWAYS breaks

I had my Chi for about a year and it started not working, the power would not work if you held it a certain way which i thought was very strange. I asked my hair dresser about it and they said its a common problems with chi's...something about how the wiring is faulty and they all break eventually. I think this is rediculous because of how much i paid for it.
This dryer was shine my hair!

Straight style is kept through humid, damp days. It provides a nice shine to the hair as opposed to leaving hair feelin damaged.Featuring an extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10 seconds.
Not durable!

I bought this about 4 months ago and already one plate of the straightener no longer heats up. My friend's CHI had the same problem, hers lasted for only 7 months.
Very pleased so far...

I love my CHI Ceramic Flat Iron (Turbo, 1"). It works very good and doesn't damage my hair. I was pleased to own it.
Flatten Hair Quickly!

This ceramic straightener flattens hair quickly and effectively. It was different from other brand irons.
