Straight style is kept through humid, damp days. It provides a nice shine to the hair as opposed to leaving hair feelin damaged.Featuring an extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10 seconds.

I bought this about 4 months ago and already one plate of the straightener no longer heats up. My friend's CHI had the same problem, hers lasted for only 7 months.

The 1" Chi hair Straightener and I absolutely love it! It seals the cuticle and my hair always looks perfect. Before I invested in it, I actually bought 3 unil ones and they all broke within a couple months. I have had this one for 2 years and it is still awesome! I highly recommend it!

CHI works like a charm. It heats up fast, and your hair stay straight a day long (unlike the cheap ones, my hair won't stay straight for a whole day) -- I live in San Francisco, there’s tends to be a lot of moist in my area, but my hair would still stay straight without having to straighten over and over...Also, the time it takes to straighten your hair with CHI is way faster than the cheap iron. I already went through 3 cheap irons, before I decided to get CHI (since it was pricey) but after I got the CHI, I am glad I made that decision. I totally recommend this product to anyone.
